Apẹẹrẹ ìyì — Yoruba for “a model of prestige”. We are an interior design studio in Lagos, working from first concept through to the furniture in the finished room.
The studio takes a space from conversation to completion: the brief, the drawings a contractor can build from, the supervision on site, and the pieces made to fit. Some clients come to us at the beginning. Others come when a project has stalled halfway.

The name is the brief
Apẹẹrẹ ìyì is Yoruba for “a model of prestige”. Not prestige as display — prestige as dignity. Rooms that hold themselves well, and hold the people in them well too.

Designed to age, not to date
Materials are chosen for how they wear: timber that warms, plaster that holds shadow, textiles that soften with use. Nothing here is meant to look new forever.

Drawn properly, then built
Concepts are resolved into technical drawings a contractor can actually build from. The gap between the render and the finished room is where most projects are lost.

Made to fit the room
Where a piece does not exist at the right size, it is drawn and made. Furniture is designed for the space it will stand in, not adapted to it.
